Get the cash you need for your trip without any hassle by following four simple steps:

Yes!
When placing an online order, you’ll be able to choose small, large or a mix of denominations. We will always endeavour to fulfil your request, however, this is dependent on the availability of stock. If you have a request for specific notes, feel free to contact our friendly customer service representatives to enquire before making an order.

The maximum total order value, including any 1 or more currencies, is the equivalent of AUD $50,000.
Each currency available online has a minimum pre-set order value (eg: USD 10) even though the denominations available for that currency may be smaller (eg; USD 1, 5 & 10 notes).
Our online ordering system may round your requested foreign currency value up to the nearest available rounded value. This will be displayed clearly on the ordering page for you to see, before you confirm your order.

It takes 3 business days to process your order. This includes the preparation of your currency and the approval of your payment before we are able to distribute the order. Please allow an extra business day for processing if the order is made after 5pm (AEST).

Feel free to give us a call if you need your currency sooner and we’ll do our best to meet your request.

Most countries will require the declaration of large values of currency being taken in by arriving passengers (eg: in Australia any currency equivalent to AUD 10,000+) whilst a few countries may impose restrictions on how much a passenger may carry into their country (eg: India allows no more than INR 25,000 by non-residents). There is a distinct difference between the requirement to declare on entry and a currency restriction.

If you’re in doubt we suggest that you seek advice from an official government website, embassy or consulate of the country or countries you may be visiting before placing your order. One potential source of destination information is the IATA website (Intl. Assoc. of Travel Agents) at https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/customs-currency-airport-tax-regulations.htm

For online currency orders, WeXchange accepts payment by BPAY, EFT (bank transfer), POLiPay or Debit/Credit card*^.

Foreign currency purchases made in-store can be paid by cash or EFTPOS*

Online payment by BPAY, EFT or Polipay and in-store payment by cash or EFTPOS (SAV or CHQ) attract no additional charges or fees.

*If you choose to order online and pay by Debit or Credit card or pay in-store using EFTPOS where you select the ‘CR’ button, a card surcharge of 1% will be added to your transaction amount. In addition, your card issuer may charge a separate cash advance fee – we suggest you clarify this with your card issuer.

^ Additionally, if you order and pay online by Debit or Credit card, the card must be issued in the same name as the person whose name appears in the online order and this must be the same person that collects the order. In addition to photo identification, you will also need to present this payment card at the time of collection.

Yes.

If you wish to buy foreign currency and pay with AUD, these rates can be found under ‘Exchange Rates’ on the homepage of this website. These purchases can be made either online or in-store.

If you wish to sell foreign currency for AUD, you’ll find these rates under ‘Exchange Rates‘ on our website, however, these transactions can only be performed in-store.

In most cases the answer is YES, you will be required to present your original and valid Driver Licence (Australian licences only) or Passport (Australian or Foreign).

Under Australian Government Legislation (The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006) WeXchange is required to sight and record the identification documents of any person buying or selling foreign currency when any single or multiple transaction values reach or exceed AUD $1,000.

If you have ordered your foreign currency online through our website WeXchange will also require your ID when you visit our stores to collect your order. This applies to all orders, no matter what the order value is. When an online order is paid during the course of the order by debit card or credit card you will also be asked to present the same payment card at time of collection. This card must be current and issued in your name.

In addition, WeXchange may ask for your ID for smaller transactions so we suggest to bring your Driver Licence or Passport just in case.

If you don’t have a current Australian Driver Licence or current Passport (issued by any country) please visit the Find Us page and call your local WeXchange store to discuss alternate forms of acceptable identification.
