Switzerland is famous for a number of things. Banking, delicious chocolate, high end watches, fondue and of course its neutrality. Any chocolate lover will love Switzerland and did you know the Swiss eat more chocolate than any other nation in the world!
Switzerland is an incredibly diverse country with four official languages: French, Swiss-German, Italian and Romansh despite a population of only 8.5 million and an area of 41,285km.
A country full of diversity and natural beauty, Switzerland is a must see when visiting Europe. The most visited and largest city is Zurich, in the Swiss-German area and Geneva right near the border with France.
Interesting Fact
Switzerland may be famous for its neutrality but that doesn’t mean they aren’t prepared! All citizens must do military service and are prepared for a nuclear war. All homes must have access to a bomb shelter (Some are in their basements) and all their bridges and tunnels have explosives built in so they can be destroyed to make transport over mountains difficult for invaders.
